Light catches cut glass
winking an invitation
opening further
I breathe in the remains of secrets
old wood, forgotten corners
dust circling in the light beam
others rest on glass necks
dulling jewelled scent
above arranged in glittered order
they wait
carefully I hold the past to my lips
hoping to drink some in
